UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDON

UEL is diverse, original and making a difference. UEL is the University of East London. We’re diverse, we’re original and we’re making a difference. We’re the University of East London. Or UEL for short.

UEL gives you the opportunity to take your learning out of the classroom – in east London and abroad. The University of East London offers you many opportunities to widen your experience by learning on real-life projects in London and overseas. By working on real-life projects you’ll gain the skills and experience that employers are really looking for.  Not only will you be having a positive impact on your communities but you’ll be gaining skills and knowledge that apply directly to the world of work. You’ll be a more confident, well-rounded, work-ready person. You’ll stand out in a crowd. Just like the many people who have used their time at UEL as a springboard to great things. It’s not about being rich or famous or powerful. It’s about maximising your potential. It’s about being what you can be.

The University of East London is on the doorstep of Canary Wharf, one of the world’s largest financial and business centres. The campuses are also located in the largest regeneration zone in western Europe and a magnet for hi-tech and creative industries. It’s hard to think of a better place to step on to the career ladder. The University of East London (UEL) is one of the most improved universities in the UK for student satisfaction after rising 37 places in the National Student Survey (NSS) league table. The survey, which was published, showed a five per cent jump in student satisfaction from 78 per cent in 2015 to 83 per cent this year. Only four other universities across the whole of the UK recorded bigger improvements. The five per cent rise was also the equal largest increase in student satisfaction by any university in London. It means UEL has risen to become the second highest ranked modern university in the capital.

It is one of the very few universities in London to offer on-campus accommodation. Its stunning waterfront Student Village is convenient, secure and comfortable – and living on campus is a great way to make friends. Some people have a clear idea about what they want to study. Some are unsure and others simply have no idea at all. When choosing a degree course, there are important things to consider. Am I interested in the subject? Will the style of teaching and learning be right for me? Can I cope with time commitment? What options will I have to continue my studies or go into the workplace when I’ve finished my degree? Whatever you do after you leave us, we want you to have a rewarding life. Just like the many people who have used their time at UEL as a springboard to great things. It’s not about being rich or famous or powerful. It’s about maximising your potential. It’s about being what you can be.
