ROYAL HOLLOWAY, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON

Royal Holloway, University of London, was founded over 170 years ago to provide equity in opportunity, to transform lives through education and create positive change – doing this with bravery, curiosity and care.

It is formally incorporated as Royal Holloway and Bedford New College and is a public research university and a member institution of the federal University of London. It is listed by The Sutton Trust as one of the 30 “most highly selective” British universities and it is ranked by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2024 in the top 30 of all UK universities.

In addition, the university has 6 schools, 21 academic departments and approximately 10,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students from over 100 countries.

The campus is located west of Egham, Surrey, 31 km from central London; in particular 40–50 minutes from Waterloo station and around 20 minutes from Windsor. The size of the campus has allowed the college to develop some of the best sports facilities of any university institution in the London area and helped build its reputation as a sporting institution of excellence. An aerobics studio, fitness suite, sports hall, sports fields and tennis courts account for some of the sporting facilities that Royal Holloway offers. Furthermore, situated on the campus are restaurants and cafés, a health centre, a careers centre, as well as teaching and social spaces.
