ELTE EÖTVÖS LORÁND UNIVERSITY

ELTE University is a prestigious institution of public higher education in Hungary, operating continuously since 1635. As top-ranked research university in Hungary, it is the most popular higher education institution among applicants as well as alma mater of five Nobel laureates and leading figures in technology, public policy, and culture in Hungary.

The university’s degree programs are accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee and course credits are transferable in all countries of the European Union. Wide-ranging services, an excellent mentor system, Orientation Week, and cultural programs all ensure that you will meet new people and settle into the campus and in the vibrant city of Budapest.

As for the campus its buildings surround the capital, and after numerous renovations in recent years, they stand out from their surroundings in many places. Their appearance carries the duality of tradition and innovation in the same way as ELTE itself.

At the university, there are many sports opportunities available to the students. BEAC, ELTE Sport Kft. and SZoESE welcomes everyone who wants to exercise, train, refresh physically and mentally, or compete. Those interested can choose from nearly forty sports and can find the most suitable form of exercise, whether it’s a leisure or competitive sport. Those who want to play sports, beginners and advanced, regardless of level, are welcome at the general physical education courses, as well as at the training sessions and other sports events of the ELTE sports scholarship recipients.
