COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY

Colorado State University is a public research university located in Fort Collins, in the U.S. state of Colorado. The university is the state’s land grant university, and the flagship university of the Colorado State University System.

When people think of Colorado, they usually think of snow-capped mountains that stretch to the sky. That’s OK. Just be aware that Denver is a major destination for people who love culture as much as the outdoors. You can watch your favourite band take the stage, kick back at a Rockies game or spend an afternoon at the Denver Art Museum. It’s all just a short drive away.

Fort Collins is one of Money magazine’s “Best Places to Live” for a reason. When you’re not on campus, you’ll find all kinds of ways to occupy your time. Hundreds of restaurants cater to a variety of tastes. Old Town has a vibe that few cities can match. And the network of hiking and biking trails throughout The Fort will take you to natural areas and scenic vistas

Your place is where you feel like you belong, and that definitely applies to Fort Collins. When you walk downtown for a night out, you’ll sense the connection between CSU and the greater community. Everyone knows they have some of the best snow on earth, and you can ski and snowboard to your heart’s content here. But the area surrounding CSU is more than just a magnet for winter sports enthusiasts. If you’re up for it, you can go tubing in the Poudre River, water-skiing on Horsetooth Reservoir and hiking on a 14,000-foot peak – all in a single day. Just be sure to bring your sunscreen.

Whether you’re surveying Long’s Peak in front of the lagoon or walking across the tree-lined expanse of lawn we call The Oval, you’ll appreciate the wide-open spaces and beautiful views that characterize our campus. So grab a book and find a shady spot to study. Enjoy a game of Ultimate on the west lawn. Or join your class for a discussion in the Sherwood Forest. It’s all good.

Your time is valuable, and we want you to make the most of it. That’s what our learning communities, student clubs and campus activities are all about. Whether you’re planning events, spearheading service projects or merely sampling what the University has to offer, you’ll touch countless lives and create lasting memories. It’s all part of life at CSU.

Your home at CSU is a place where you can study, socialize and just generally be yourself 24/7. Our residence halls feature 15 Residential Learning Communities that will unite you with students who share your interests, while the University Apartments offer a variety of living options as well. No matter where you live, you’ll be part of a community that values what you bring to the table.
