Who We Represent

University of Wolverhampton

The University of Wolverhampton has a long and cherished history dating back to Wolverhampton's Mechanics' Institute and College of Art in the mid-1800s.

Indeed its coat of arms carries the motto: ‘Innovation and Opportunity’ - something which is as true today as all those years ago. It is now a leading university and a major player in the UK higher education sector, contributing to knowledge transfer, economic development, wealth creation and social justice. It is the friendliest University in the West Midlands, according to former students. Wolverhampton is one of the most cost-friendly places for students to live in the UK, according to Myfinances.co.uk.

It's a great location. Birmingham is 20 minutes away, as is the beautiful Shropshire countryside. London, Liverpool and Manchester are less than a couple of hours away. The campus is in Wolverhampton City Centre, and has that city 'buzz' - but is small enough to feel like a community.

The University is embarking on a major £45million redevelopment of its City Campus. Plans include a state-of-the art Science Centre and flagship new Business School building, due for completion in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Already completed, are the redevelopment of The George hotel into a student gateway, the creation of a new Research Hub, two new Student Centres and an outdoor University Sports Zone.
