Who We Represent

University of Applied Sciences Erfurt

Erfurt University was founded on the 1st October 1991. About 4,200 students study here in modern furnished and well lit rooms. Approx. 1000 new first-year university students are registered annually. It stands out for its broadly based interdisciplinary range of courses in twelve branches of study.

It offers ranges from scientific-technical, social and economics up to artistic academic subjects. The university is characterised by short study periods, concentrated didactic programs and a large practice purchase. Final degree qualifications at Erfurt University include the diploma or the Bachelors/Masters degrees.

It consists of the original faculties of architecture, civil engineering, horticulture, supply engineering (now service and power engineering), landscape architecture and social welfare (now social studies) , as well as economic science, conservation and restoration, traffic and transportation, applied computer science, forestry and ecosystem management and urban and spatial planning. These are designed to meet the call for modern, practice-oriented training. At the same time, the provision of courses is directed at regional needs and new developments.

The university "lives out" strong ties with practice in its close contact with companies and institutions. Cooperative partnerships link the university with other universities worldwide. Increasing numbers of international students and lecturers are coming to Erfurt, whilst their German counterparts complete placements or study semesters in countries all over the world.
