Who We Represent

University of Bonn

The University of Bonn is a public research university located in Bonn, Germany. Founded in its present form in 1818, as the linear successor of earlier academic institutions, the University of Bonn is today one of the leading universities in Germany. The University of Bonn offers a large number of undergraduate and graduate programs in a range of subjects. Its library holds more than two million volumes.

Through seven separate faculties, the University of Bonn provides almost 80 different courses and subjects. At present, approximately 28,000 students and more than 4,000 academic and ancillary staff study, teach and work at its outstanding faculties.

The very fact that the University sees itself as a research-led university also influences the level and orientation of teaching and studying. Students are given the unique opportunity of actively taking part in research projects. The comprehensive research-based approach to studying will unquestionably deliver a clear advantage to Bonn graduates when they enter the labour market. It is the university’s strong belief that learning through research is the ideal way for exceptional academic and social performers to gain their qualifications.

The University of Bonn also offers specially designed courses that are particularly oriented to international students. The courses lead to an international degree (Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree). They are partially or fully taught in English and offer special counselling and support for international students.
